WR Rankings

WR15 - Laurent Robinson, Illinois State Laurent RobinsonOfficial Bio
Height: 6-2
Weight: 199
40 yard dash: 4.38
Grade: 65

Strengths:
If Laurent Robinson went to a “major” university than he would be on the cusp of being the latest “sleeper” WR to enter the National Football League. Robinson had an amazing season during his junior year where he racked up 1465 yards receiving and accumulated 12 touchdowns. He has excellent speed, and quickness off the blocks and will surprise many by how well he adapts to the competition at the next level.
Weaknesses:
Laurent Robinson had one special season at the collegiate level, his junior campaign, unfortunately the other three seasons COMBINED for roughly the same stats. With this kind of inconsistency it must raise at least one red flag in regards to his potential and where his draft stock will land is up in the air.
Overall:
Laurent Robinson is going to be a unique “high risk, high reward” draft pick in April. He has a “high ceiling” but could be a potential bust. Given some time to develop some cohesiveness with whomever the QB is of the franchise that selects him in the middle rounds of the draft, Robinson will finally become a consistent performer. Although, he may not be productive in his rookie year, in the future he will pay off a team that has patience to allow him to develop.
