WR14 - Rhema McKnight, Notre Dame |
Official
Bio |
Height: 6-1
Weight: 211
40 yard dash:
Grade: 67 |
|
Strengths:
More than anything else, Rhema McKnight should be prepared for the
NFL offensive playbook. McKnight had the advantage of working in the
Notre Dame offense that is a pro style attack and that should assist
McKnight with the transition from college to the pros. McKnight had
a very consistent season as he solidified himself as a legit
offensive option in the offense all season long. McKnight is one of
the better route runners in the draft.
Weaknesses:
Rhema McKnight had the advantage of playing opposite Notre Dame’s
legit number one target Jeff Samardjiza, but at the same time he was
seeing every teams 2nd CB and the opposing teams defenses
were never schemed to stop him so he had more of an opportunity to
produce than if he was the number one option himself. McKnight has
just average speed and needs to become more of a technician at the
next level to ensure that he can get open without having that
straight line speed. McKnight also had to advantage to play with
first round QB, Brady Quinn.
Overall:
Rhema McKnight would have been much more well publicized had he
been a prospect in the 2006 draft. Having entered the draft in 2007
McKnight once again finds himself under the radar. McKnight will
make an NFL team and may never be a spectacular player, but he could
be a solid addition to a team for many years to come.
