WR8 - Anthony Gonzalez, Ohio State Anthony GonzalezOfficial Bio
Height: 6-0
Weight: 193
40 yard dash: 4.44
Grade: 85

Strengths:
Anthony Gonzalez has a tremendous work ethic. By now many have heard the story of how he sleeps in a hyperbaric chamber in order to build up his stamina and endurance. He is quick off the line and out of his breaks and runs his routes effectively and with excellent timing. He has terrific lateral quickness and should be able to get open.
Weaknesses:

Gonzalez has limited upside due to the fact that he has lesser physical tools than some of the other WR prospects. Anthony Gonzalez is another WR prospect that played second fiddle to a teammate in 2006. Ted Ginn Jr. stretched the field and demanded the defensive double coverage, and Gonzalez was allowed to run free underneath the coverage and make a living on underneath crossing patterns. There is a very slim chance that Anthony Gonzalez will translate to an #1 WR, his best chance is to catch on with a team that has few #2 receiving options, that would be his best case scenario to break the starting line-up in the National Football League.
Overall:

Anthony Gonzalez would be best suited to become a slot receiver in a three wide receiver set and continue to improve so that he could become an adequate #2 receiver. He has some skills, but with his physical stature he might be overwhelmed initially at the NFL level. While Gonzalez may not have the upside some other WR in the draft have, he is a solid bet to be a contributor at the next level, and should come off the board in the first 50 picks.
