TE Rankings

TE3 - Ben Patrick, TE, Delaware Ben PatrickNFL.com Profile
Height: 6-3
Weight: 252
40 yard dash: 4.74
Grade: 71
Strengths:
Patrick is a skilled receiver who excels at finding holes in zone coverage. He is a very strong player who is a top notch blocker. Patrick has good hands and runs good routes.
Weaknesses:
Patrick does not have explosive downfield speed or acceleration. He is unlikely to be a vertical threat in the NFL.
Overall:
Patrick is a better receiver than he is given credit for, as he is skilled at finding open spaces and can catch whatever is thrown to him. Patrick is one of the best blocking tight ends in the draft. He was unable to demonstrate his ability playing at Duke and then excelled in 2006 at Delaware playing 1-AA football. He is one of the most complete tight ends in the class and has the ability to be a full time NFL starter.
