S6 - Sabby Piscitelli, Oregon State Sabby Piscitelli

NFL.com Profile

Height: 6-3
Weight: 224
40 yard dash: 4.47
Grade: 76
Strengths:
Piscitelli has terrific size and surprising athleticism, which allows him to play in the box or in coverage. He is a well built player who has the frame to even get bigger. He is a good tackler and has the toughness to play in the box. His coverage skills are surprising given his size, but his agility allows him to stay with most receivers. He has the ball skills to be a playmaker and the intelligence and intangibles to lead a defense.

Weaknesses:

He does not always play up to his physical ability. He needs to improve his recognition skills as he is too aggressive at times and gets caught out of position. He may be seen as a "tweener" as he does not have the size to play linebacker and may lack the change of direction ability to play safety full time.
Overall:
Piscitelli is an interesting prospect. In the right system that would use his physical ability correctly, he could be a steal. However if a team drafts him to play a classic safety position he may struggle at times. He may be best suited as a Cover 2 safety in the mold of John Lynch.
