RB6 - Darius Walker, Notre Dame |
Official
Bio |
Height: 5-10
Weight: 210
40 yard dash: 4.56
Grade: 72 |
Strengths:
Walker played in several big games over the course of his career at
Notre Dame. The major competition at the college level helped
prepare Walker for the NFL. His versatility shinned brightly this
past season in Charlie Weis' pro style offense where the end result
was Walker catching 56 passes from QB Brady Quinn. Speed is also a
plus.
Weaknesses:
Size is going to be a concern for Walker. At 5'10, 210 he might be
a bit short/slight. Many of these backs will have to prove that
they can withstand the week to week rigors of the NFL, and Walker is
no exception. I think initially he might be best suited for 3rd
down duties.
Overall:
Walker might be one of those RBs that are good, but not great.
It is going to be very important what offensive scheme he plays in.
He has some talents, but depending on the coaching and the scheme,
his talent may remain hidden at the next level
