OG1 - Justin Blalock, Texas Justin Blalock

NFL.com Profile

Height: 6-3
Weight: 320
40 yard dash: 5.10
Grade: 90

Strengths:
Justin Blalock is potentially the most versatile offensive lineman in the 2007 NFL draft class. Blalock may not be the most ideal fit at LT, however he would be a good fit at either guard position or at the RT position. One of the more consistent performers at the tackle position during his career at Texas, Blalock will provide a road grader in the interior of an offensive line for who ever selects him.
Weaknesses:
Many occurrences a draft prospects stock will stumble slightly due to their performance on the field during their senior campaign. Justin Blalock played remarkable during his junior season, while helping to lead the Texas Longhorns to a National Title. His senior season, he had bouts of inconsistent play, whether that was due to the changes on offense or not, Blalock should have dominated this past season, and did not.
Overall:
Justin Blalock may become the next in the long line of successful interior lineman in the National Football League who translated their games from playing the offensive tackle position while in college. It may not seem like Justin Blalock does anything great, but he does everything good. There is always room for a player like Blalock in the NFL, so the expectation is that Justin Blalock could get drafted at the end of round one or no later than the beginning of round two.
