War Room Report Scouting Report
MLB Rankings

MLB6 - H. B. Blades, Pittsburgh H.B. Blades

NFL.com Profile

Height: 5-11
Weight: 236
40 yard dash: 4.69
Grade: 73
Strengths:
Many times scouts underestimate the value of a true leader on the football field, but that is a quality that is virtually impossible to measure, and this is why, even though many scouts are using derogatory comments to describe H.B. Blades as an NFL prospect, the War Room Report values H.B. Blades potential at the next level more than most. H.B. Blades has excellent instincts and reads plays well and makes the play the vast majority of the time. He has better ball skills than most people would assume. Weighing in at just under 240 pounds, H.B. Blades will be an excellent run stuffing MLB in the National Football League.

Weaknesses:

H.B. Blades is limited from an athleticism standpoint. He does not have ideal top line speed that scouts look for from their middle linebacker prospects, and he will struggle in the pass defense as teams will look to line up their running back on Blades to create a mismatch. H.B. Blades will struggle to accumulate sacks in the pass rushing department.

Overall:

The NFL lineage is there for H.B. Blades and he does seem to have the mental makeup to be a success in the National Football League, but he is not blowing scouts away with his athletic prowess. He will need excellent coaching to max out his potential, and get all the quickness they can out of him. H.B. Blades has some work to do to prove to teams that he can be an every-down linebacker in the National Football League, and that he is just not suited for spot duty.
