FB1 - Brian Leonard, Rutgers Brian LeonardOfficial Bio
Height: 6-2
Weight: 226
40 yard dash: 4.49
Grade: 86
Strengths:
Leonard was extremely productive at Rutgers.  In his four collegiate seasons he produced 4500 total yards, 45 total TDs, and over 200 receptions.  He has versatility rarely shown in a fullback prospect.  He will provide an offense another additional option in their running and passing game. The 4.49 40 that Leonard put up at the combine is only elevating his status.
Weaknesses:
The question remains:  Is Brian Leonard a difference maker in the National Football League?  Questions abound when looking at Leonard as a player.  He might be a "tweener" not an every down fullback and not an every down tailback.  Does his skills and upside grade out to a 2nd or 3rd round selection?
Overall:
Some scouts believe that he might translate from an athletic standpoint to tailback at the next level. Leonard is facing a prejudice that he is going to have to shake. Leonard's role is undefined, but regardless he should be drafted sometime on day one of the 2007 NFL Draft.
