DT7 - Quinn Pitcock, Ohio State |

NFL.com
Profile |
Height: 6-2
Weight: 299
40 yard dash: 4.93
Grade: 74 |
Strengths:
Quinn Pitcock is a defensive tackle prospect that will give you
consistent effort for sixty minutes. Pitcock is fundamentally sound
as he plays with excellent leverage technique as well as stands his
ground on run defense. He has a fine array of pass rushing moves
that he demonstrated at Ohio State and he is an exceptional jumper,
so he should be able to knock down passes at the line of scrimmage
at the NFL level.
Weaknesses:
Quinn Pitcock is one of several prospects that have unfortunately
seen his draft stock decline steadily throughout the scouting
process. Quinn Pitcock lacks ideal athleticism that most NFL scouts
covet, and he lacks that explosive burst that many dictate is
essential in making plays in the backfield in the National Football
League. Unfortunately for Quinn Pitcock, he may just be one of those
players that are solid collegiate football players, but do not have
enough athleticism to become a starting player in the National
Football League.
Overall:
Quinn Pitcock is a blue-collar football player, he works hard and
gives you 100% effort on all snaps. There have been many cases where
NFL scouts were incorrect, and a player who was once thought to lack
the athletic ability to become a playmaker at the NFL level,
progressed nicely and become a solid contributor on an NFL
Franchise. Quinn Pitcock should be a solid mid-round selection, that
will need to be coached up and could develop in time. Quinn Pitcock
is a “low risk, medium reward” prospect in the 2007 NFL Draft.
