DE1 - Adam Carriker, Nebraska Adam CarrikerOfficial Bio

NFL.com Profile
Height: 6-6
Weight: 296
40 yard dash: 4.90
Grade: 94
Strengths:
Adam Carriker has the size and strength to play full time at the NFL level. He is an extremely powerful player that can shed blockers to get to the next level. He is able to make tackles in the open field and has a motor that never stops. Carriker's athleticism is better than advertised with outstanding performances in the agility drills at the combine. Carriker has solid technique and uses his hands very well to get around blockers.
Weaknesses:
Carriker is not the explosive pass rusher that some teams seek at defensive end. He will earn his share of sacks but is not going to run around the more athletic offensive tackles. He may be seen as a bit of a DE/DT tweener by some teams. At 6-6, he occasionally gets high and knocked off balance.
Overall:
Carriker is the most complete DE in this class, as he can hold his own at the point of attack and rush the passer. Carriker has the ability to play almost every spot on the defensive line except for nose tackle. He may be at his best when playing DE in a 3-4 scheme, similar to Richard Seymour or Aaron Smith. His combination of size, strength, and athleticism makes him the best defensive end in the 2007 NFL Draft class.
