Bio

Profile |
Height: 6-3
Weight: 266
40 yard dash: 4.77
Grade: 67 |
Strengths:
Bazuin is a terrific pass rusher, as evidenced by his 35.5 sacks
while at Central Michigan. He is an edge pass rusher with a good
variety of moves, who uses his hands well to beat offensive linemen.
An Academic All-American, he is smart player who has a high motor
and is able to get his teammates motivated. He has good speed and is
able to consistently keep his pad level low, which allows him to
beat stronger linemen.
Weaknesses:
Bazuin lacks ideal bulk and probably does not have the room to fill
out. Despite excelling as an edge rusher, he probably can not make
the move to 3-4 OLB as he does not have the ideal hip fluidity to
drop in coverage consistently. Despite decent timed speed, he is not
as explosive off the line of scrimmage as you would like. The jump
from the MAC to the NFL has been difficult for other pass rushers.
Overall:
Bazuin had a standout junior season but regressed in his senior
season as he was double teamed frequently. He does not make as many
solo tackles as you would like to see. He may be limited to a pass
rushing specialist role in the NFL and could find the jump to NFL
competition difficult. |
