CB1 - Leon Hall, Michigan |

NFL.com
Profile |
Height: 5-11
Weight: 193
40 yard dash: 4.39
Grade: 93 |
Strengths:
Leon Hall is a very technically sound cornerback who possesses good
instincts. Hall is a fluid athlete who reacts quickly and has the
explosiveness to make a play quickly. He has a great deal of
experience coming from a top program which has allowed him to
improve his recognition skills. Hall has good ball skills and rarely
makes a mistake. He is an aggressive tackler who willingly helps in
run support. He uses his body well and should be able to handle most
wide receivers man to man.
Weaknesses:
Hall clocked in faster than anticipated, but his long speed is still
in question after a poor performance against Ted Ginn Jr. Hall is
going to need deep help against the fastest receivers because if he
misreads the play he is unable to recover quickly. The Michigan
program has their corners give a lot of cushion so Hall may be prone
to give up short receptions frequently. He is probably best suited
for a system that will allow him to play zone frequently.
Overall:
Leon Hall grades out as the #1 corner in a class that lacks elite
talent. Hall is a solid, but not spectacular player. His grade is a
reflection to his consistency and a lower bust factor than most
cornerbacks. Hall may not have any one area of his game that is top
notch but he is a well rounded player. Hall may be best suited as a
#2 CB and will likely never be considered a true "shut down" corner. |
