War Room Report Mock Draft
Updated: April 24, 2007
by Rob Tribbett, War Room Report Editor

65. Oakland Raiders
Oakland Raiders
Turk McBride, DT, Tennessee
Oakland has some talent at DT, but they are advancing in age. McBride is a good pass rusher for a defensive tackle and is a candidate to go even earlier in the draft.
66. Detroit Lions
Detroit Lions
Justin Durant, LB, Hampton
Despite playing at a lower level, Durant is a player on the rise. He projects as an ideal Cover 2 MLB and the Lions desperately need a player to replace Paris Lenon in the middle. Durant has the speed and skills necessary to man the middle of the field in the Cover 2.
67. Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns
Drew Stanton, QB, Michigan State
If they pass on a QB early in the draft, the Browns could target one of the second tier of QBs. Stanton would be a terrific value here, as he has all of the skills necessary to be a successful NFL QB.
68. Detroit Lions (Via projected trade)
Detroit Lions
Aundrae Allison, WR, East Carolina
The Lions have Roy Williams and Mike Furrey, but Allison would be a solid addition for Mike Martz's offense. Allison is a player with a lot of potential, but he needs to become more consistent.
69. Arizona Cardinals
Paul Solali, DT, Utah
Arizona is moving to a 3-4 scheme and have Gabe Watson at nose tackle. Solali is one of the few nose tackle prospects in the draft and would be a good player to bring in to split time with Watson.
70. Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos
Buster Davis, MLB, Florida State
The Broncos lost Al Wilson, but they could find an adequate replacement with Davis. Davis would go much higher in the draft, but he lacks ideal height. He is a playmaker who could likely start very early in his career.
71. Washington Redskins (Via projected trade)
Washington Redskins
Victor Abiamiri, DE, Notre Dame
The Skins need to add to their defensive line, and after adding Okoye in Round One, Abiamiri would be a sensible pick here. He was productive at Notre Dame and could assist the Skins putrid pass rush.
72. Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings
Ikaika Alama-Francis, DE, Hawaii
The Vikings need to add a pass rusher, despite investing high picks in Erasmus James and Kenechi Udeze in recent drafts. Udeze had 0 sacks in the 2006 season and Alama-Francis is an outstanding athlete who has a high upside.
73. Houston Texans
Houston Texans
Rufus Alexander, OLB, Oklahoma
The Texans have one of the weakest groups of OLBs in the league and could bring the tackling machine Alexander on board. He would be a good fit next to DeMeco Ryans and help a struggling Texans defense.
74. Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills
Antonio Pittman, RB, Ohio State
The Bills need to add a running back and Pittman was productive at Ohio State. A good one cut type runner, Pittman would figure to be in the starting mix in Buffalo. The Bills have several important needs and are almost forced to draft for those needs.
75. Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons
Michael Bush, RB, Louisville
New Falcons coach Bobby Petrino wishes to install the power running game he used at Louisville, but he lacks the back to do it. Michael Bush would had been a first round pick if not for his leg injury. He has not been able to run as of yet, which is lowering his value. However, Atlanta may grab him here to secure his services. Once healthy, he is the ideal back for Petrino.
76. San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers
Marshall Yanda, OT/OG, Iowa
The 49ers line played well in 2006, but a versatile player such as Yanda would be very valuable. Yanda can play either guard spot or right tackle and would have a chance to start immediately for the 49ers.
77. Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers
Brian Leonard, RB/FB, Rutgers
The Steelers need to add a power runner to compliment Willie Parker. Leonard is a unique player who the Steelers could use in a variety of ways. He can catch the ball well and would help relieve the pressure on Parker.
78. Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers
Jacoby Jones, WR, Lane College
2006 2nd round pick Greg Jennings showed ability in his rookie season, but the Packers could use a player who can stretch the field. Jones, from tiny Lane College, is one of the top small school prospects in the draft.
79. Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars
John Beck, QB, BYU
The Jaguars have one of the most talented teams in the league, but have shuffled quarterbacks out in recent years. Beck is an accurate and smart quarterback that seems to be rising as the draft approaches.
Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals
No pick (Used in Supplemental Draft)
80. Tennessee Titans
Tennesse Titans
Dan Bazuin, DE, Central Michigan
The Titans need a pass rusher and MAC star Dan Bazuin knows how to get to the passer. He may face a development curve at the NFL level, but the Titans need to address the DE spot early in the draft.
81. New York Giants
New York Giants
Tim Shaw, OLB, Penn State
After releasing Carlos Emmons and Lavar Arrington, the Giants simply must add a linebacker on Day One of the draft. They finally find value in Round Three with Tim Shaw, who had an impressive combine, and could develop into an outstanding player.
82. St. Louis Rams
St. Louis Rams
Brandon Mebane, DT, Cal
The Rams have a huge need at defensive tackle and Mebane is a huge value at 83rd overall. Mebane lacks ideal size but he is a high motor player who would be a good addition to the Rams.
83. Carolina Panthers
Carolina Panthers
Brandon Siler, MLB, Florida
Dan Morgan is going to attempt to return for the 2006 season, but he has had problems with concussions. Siler is a player who teams have different opinions of. With the system of the Panthers and a strong front four, he would be in a position to succeed.

84. Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs
Josh Beekman, OG, Boston College
Will Shields retired and the Chiefs simply must work to improve their offensive line. Beekman would be an ideal pick here, as he excels in running blocking, and the Chiefs love to run the ball.

85. Seattle Seahawks
Quinn Pitcock, DT, Ohio State
The Seahawks have not gotten the production they need at the defensive tackle spot. Pitcock is a high motor player with good technique who could help as a rotation player immediately.
86. Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos
Sabby Piscitelli, S, Oregon State
John Lynch is advancing in age, and the Broncos could bring in Piscitelli as a future replacement. He has great workout numbers, but needs to display more consistency on the field.
87. Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys
Ray McDonald, DE, Florida
The Cowboys would get a major steal here in Ray McDonald, who is ideal for the 3-4 DE spot. McDonald is a strong player who played both DT and DE for the Florida Gators and he could contribute immediately.
88. New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints
Tarrell Brown, CB, Texas
Despite signing Jason David, the Saints could still use another corner. Brown is a talented player who have only fallen this far due to off the field concerns.
89. New York Jets
New York Jets
David Clowney, WR, Virginia Tech
The Jets would like to add a third receiver and the speedy Clowney would compliment Jericho Cotchery and Laveranues Coles well. Clowney did not produce much at Virginia Tech, but that was more due to a difficult quarterback situation and a run first game plan.
90. Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles
Tony Hunt, RB, Penn State
Philadelphia needs a back who can help relieve Brian Westbrook's load. Hunt is a physical runner who does not tire and could be used late in games to seal victories for the Eagles.
91. New England Patriots
New England Patriots
Kenny Irons, RB, Auburn
The Patriots lost Corey Dillion, and despite bringing Sammy Morris in as a backup to Laurence Maroney, could use Irons here. Irons was initially considered to be a higher pick, and still could slip into the second round.
92. Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills
Mike Walker, WR, Central Florida
The Bills do not have a reliable option opposite of Lee Evans. The development of J.P. Losman would be expedited with the addition of Mike Walker, a fast target with good size.
93. San Diego Chargers
San Diego Chargers
Zak DeOssie, ILB, Brown
The Chargers lost both of their starting inside linebackers in the off-season. DeOssie is a small school player who is gaining momentum for being a smart player with good physical skills. He is a good fit for the 3-4 system as he has the strength to fight through blocks and make plays.
94. Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears
Lorenzo Booker, RB, Florida State
The Bears traded Thomas Jones and are content to let Cedric Benson be the lead tailback. Booker brings a multitude of skills to the table that would be beneficial to use with Benson. Booker's pass catching abilities should allow him to see the field immediately and he could contribute as a change of pace runner.
95. Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis Colts
Usama Young, CB, Kent State
Though CB is not the most important position in the Tampa 2 scheme, the Colts do need to add some depth to the position after losing both starters in the off-season. Young was a workout warrior and has the physical skills to develop into a top flight corner.
96. San Diego Chargers (Comp)
San Diego Chargers
Kenny Scott, CB, Georgia Tech
The Chargers added Antonio Cromartie in the 2006 draft but still could add some depth at the position. Scott is a physical specimen like Cromartie, with good size and terrific speed. He needs to refine his technique.
97. San Francisco 49ers (Comp)
San Francisco 49ers
Josh Gattis, S, Wake Forest
Michael Lewis and Mark Roman are currently slated to be the starters at safety for the 49ers and neither inspires much confidence. Gattis has good size and was a playmaker at Wake Forest.
98. Indianapolis Colts (Comp)
Indianapolis Colts
Quincy Black, LB, New Mexico
Black is a prototypical Cover 2 linebacker, with great speed, even though he is a bit undersized. The Colts could use Black as a replacement for the departed Cato June.
99. Oakland Raiders (Comp)
Oakland Raiders
Johnnie Lee Higgins, WR, UTEP
The Raiders have talent at WR, but the production has not matched that. Jerry Porter and Randy Moss both could be gone. Higgins was extremely productive at UTEP and could see the field early for the Raiders.
