War Room Report Mock Draft
Updated: April 24, 2007
by Rob Tribbett, War Room Report Editor

33. Oakland Raiders
Oakland Raiders
Tony Ugoh, OT, Arkansas
The Raiders need to add help along the offensive line and the signing of Jermaine Newberry combined with already having Jake Grove on the roster should make Ugoh the pick over Ryan Kalil.
34. Detroit Lions
Detroit Lions
Trent Edwards, QB, Stanford
Edwards is a player who is gaining steam and the Lions may have their eye on him after passing on Quinn early in the draft. Edwards has a lot of potential, but he was not productive in college.
35. Tampa Bay Bucs
Tampa Bay Bucs
Jarvis Moss, DE, Florida
Moss could go as high as #21 to Denver, but there are concerns about rather or not he can play full time immediately, due to a lack of functional strength. In the Tampa 2 system, rushing the passer is a necessity and Tampa could use a pass rusher.
36. Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns
Eric Wright, CB, UNLV
Cleveland desperately needs a cornerback and Eric Wright would be a very good pick here. Physically, Wright should be a Round One pick, but concerns about his off the field actions and level of competition at UNLV could allow the Browns to get a great value at a position of need.
37. Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears
Justin Blalock, OG/OT, Texas
The Bears have a good offensive line, but they are getting older. They could use the versatility that Blalock, one of the strongest and smartest players in the draft. The Bears could also be tempted by a DT here, but there is little value.
38. Arizona Cardinals
David Harris, MLB, Michigan
The Cardinals are going to phase in more 3-4 Defense, and David Harris would be a terrific addition. Harris has the bulk to play in the 3-4 and the speed to play in the 4-3. Harris is a player who could go much higher, as high as pick #21.
39. Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons
Charles Johnson, DE, Georgia
After losing Patrick Kearney, the Falcons need to add a defensive end. Johnson really shined in 2006 at Georgia. He could provide immediate pass rushing help for the Falcons.
40. Miami Dolphins
Anthony Gonzalez, WR, Ohio State
The Dolphins could go in several directions with this pick, but they would like to add a target if they draft Brady Quinn. They have a decent WR corps, but Gonzalez would be a solid pick here.
41. Indianapolis Colts (via projected trade)
Indianapolis Colts
Tank Tyler, DT, NC State
The Colts moved back in a projected trade and desperately need to add some help at either OLB or DT. The best value is at DT, where Tank Tyler can immediately help improve their rushing defense.
42. San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers
Sidney Rice, WR, South Carolina
The 49ers are currently slated to enter the season with Ashley Lelie and Arnaz Battle starting at WR. Rice is a tremendous value here, as a player with his combination of ball skills and size is difficult to find. Rice can team with Vernon Davis to give Alex Smith a pair of top red zone targets.

43. Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills
Marcus McCauley, CB, Fresno State
The Bills lost Nate Clements and can replace him with Marcus McCauley. McCauley has as much upside as any CB in the draft, but he had a disappointing senior season. McCauley is an extremely physical player who would fit the Buffalo system.
44. Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons
Ben Grubbs, OG, Auburn
New head coach Bobby Petrino is looking to change the offensive line of the Falcons from a zone blocking team to a power blocking team. Grubbs is a very strong blocker who is a natural guard and is a very safe pick here.
45. Carolina Panthers
Carolina Panthers
Eric Weddle, S, Utah
Weddle was the two time defensive player of year in the Mountain West and would make a strong addition to a Carolina team that needs help at both safety positions. Mike Minter's career is winding down and Thomas Davis is moving to linebacker.
46. Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers
Ryan Kalil, C, USC
The Steelers need a player to replace Jeff Hartings and Kalil would be an exceptional value here. He could easily go much higher, as he is one of the best center prospects to enter the NFL Draft ever.
47. Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers
Tanard Jackson, CB/S, Syracuse
The Packers need help in the secondary, as both starting corners are over 33. Jackson could play nickelback and help at safety immediately, before stepping in for Harris or Woodson in the future.
48. Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars
Tim Crowder, DE, Texas
The Jaguars have one solid defensive end in Bobby McCary but Paul Spicer is uninspiring and Reggie Hayward is returning from an injury. Crowder is a 270 lb end with a good deal of agility.
49. Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals
Stewart Bradley, OLB, Nebraska
The Bengals lost David Pollack to injury and his future is uncertain. They could benefit greatly from bringing the tackling machine Bradley on board. Bradley is a player who could go higher, as he is one of the best strong side linebackers on the board.
50. Tennessee Titans
Tennesse Titans
Josh Wilson, CB, Maryland
Josh Wilson does not have prototypical NFL size, but he is solid in every other area. After losing Pacman Jones, the Titans need a corner and help in the return game, and Wilson could provide assistance in both areas.
51. New York Giants
New York Giants
Jonathan Wade, CB, Tennessee
The Giants need to add a linebacker, but there is not much value here with Bradley off the board. They are aging at the corner positions and Corey Webster has yet to show much. Wade is a fast and physical player who could develop into a good corner.
52. St. Louis Rams
St. Louis Rams
Arron Sears, OG, Tennessee
The starting guards for the Rams have been in the league for a combined 25 years, and despite having one of the best running backs in the league, they struggled to run the ball at times. Sears is a terrific player and a good value here.
53. Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys
Steve Smith, WR, USC
Both starting receivers for the Cowboys will be 33 years old when the season starts and the backups have yet to show they can be NFL starters. Smith is a great value here, as he dispelled any concerns about his athleticism at the combine. He has great hands and should have a productive career.
54. Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs
Craig Davis, WR, LSU
The Chiefs have needed to add a WR for several seasons, and after passing on WR in the first round for Joe Staley, they find Craig Davis in Round Two. Davis may not have the ability to be an elite #1 receiver, but he can be a solid player for many years.
55. Seattle Seahawks
Zach Miller, TE, Arizona State
The Seahawks have moved on from Jerramy Stevens and signed Marcus Pollard. However, Pollard is not a top pass catching threat and is 35 years old. Zach Miller was in the discussion to be the top tight end in the draft, but he does not have outstanding long speed. He has great hands and will make a good fit for the West Coast offense.
56. Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos
Lamar Woodley, DE, Michigan
Mike Shanahan is not afraid to defy convention and Woodley, despite a lack of ideal size, was extremely productive at Michigan. Woodley excels at rushing the passer and could be a three down player for the Broncos.
57. Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles
Fred Bennett, CB, South Carolina
The Eagles are a team that focuses on the secondary. They have good starting corners, but lost nickelback Roderick hood in the off-season. William James is likely to fill that role in 2007, but Bennett could step in for the 2008 season and has the skills to be a future starter.
58. New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints
Jason Hill, WR, Washington State
The Saints lost Joe Horn in the off-season and could use another WR. An offensive minded coach in Sean Payton may not be satisfied with the choices opposite of Marques Colston, and Hill is gifted receiver who is overlooked by some.
59. New York Jets
New York Jets
Quentin Moses, DE/OLB, Georgia
The Jets would like to add a 3-4 rush OLB, and Moses, despite a lackluster senior season, is a potential start in the position. Moses may take some time to develop, but the Jets will be intrigued by his potential.
60. Miami Dolphins
Ryan Harris, OT, Notre Dame
The Dolphins need to add offensive line help, and Harris is solid prospect. If he can stay in shape and play consistently, the Dolphins could have a steal here.

61. Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore Ravens

James Marten, OT, Boston College
Jonathan Ogden has hinted at retirement and the Ravens lost Tony Pashos in free agency. Marten is a typical Boston College linemen who will provide toughness and consistency. He would provide good insurance for a deep Ravens team.
62. San Diego Chargers
San Diego Chargers
Aaron Rouse, S, Virginia Tech
After losing out on the top four safeties in Round One, the Chargers can add the physical Rouse here. Rouse can competing for the starting job immediately and is a physical specimen that the Chargers have frequently targeted.
63. New York Jets
New York Jets
Ben Patrick, TE, Delaware
Chris Baker has some potential, but he has yet to produce. The Jets would like to add another target and Patrick would be a good choice. He is a physical player who works hard in both the receiving and blocking game, and in a shallow TE class, could go as in Round 2.

Read the WRR Interview with Ben Patrick!

64. Detroit Lions (Via projected trade)
Detroit Lions
Daymeion Hughes, CB, Cal
The Lions run a Cover 2 defense and Hughes is a terrific playmaker who would excel in the Tampa 2 system. He may slide down the draft board slightly due to a lack of ideal speed, but he plays faster than his timed speed.
